We are collecting item donations at this event to benefit San Antonio Pets Alive!. Nerd Nights are always free to attend but donations are requested. We’re hoping to collect:

Large “Kong” toys (for dogs to chew on!)
Peanut Butter (to make the Kongs more tasty!)
Cesar wet dog food (for puppies suffering from Parvo)

San Antonio Pets Alive! is not a shelter. It is an organization that works to rescue animals from San Antonio’s shelters that has saved the lives of more than 40,000 dogs and cats. They focus on saving the lives of dogs and cats already on the list for euthanasia at San Antonio shelters. Key missions include:

• Neonatal Kitten Nursery – providing housing and care for kittens until they are ready for foster or adoption
• Parvo Ward – isolating and treating puppies exposed to the common and dangerous Parvo virus.
• Ringworm Ward – providing treatment for the highly contagious ringworm parasite that is a death sentence for many shelter cats.
• Medical Clinic – providing care and treatment for adopted and fostered animals as well as the San Antonio community at large.
• Foster and Adoption Programs – providing safe and stable home environments for animals awaiting adoption
• Transport Program – sending animals from San Antonio kennels to communities up north that do not experience the pet overpopulation problems we have in San Antonio, enabling them to find forever homes.
